What is Personality Development?

From kids to adults, there is a certain level of demand for Personality Development classes.  For parents of kids and teens, they wish for their child to be confident and proper in their daily interactions.  For adults, they usually take up these classes to further improve their personal and professional skills, typically as steps towards success.

But what exactly is Personality Development?  Here is my personal take on the definition of what Personality Development is.

Personality Development is a learning journey for an individual that encompasses both your inner self growth and your outward self development.  I find that Personality Development, or PerDev as it is sometimes called, involves both the improvement of an individual on how they see themselves and how others perceive them too.

For the outward self development, it usually involves going through Image Development: improving the way you dress and present yourself, learning and knowing proper behavior during interactions and communicating with more confidence and charm.

As for the inner self growth, I find that the outward self development aspect of Personality Development would easily breakdown if it wasn't laying on a solid foundation of self assurance and positivity of a person.  Personality Development, for me, is a complete journey if a person also goes through character building, mindful formation of personal values and positive belief in one's self.

Every individual have different situations, so their own personality development journey may differ from one another.  However, no matter what life situation a person is going through, Personality Development will always bring a person forward towards a better version of himself!
